I'm fairly sure that the terms can be used interchangeably. As in, some people call it a barani, some people call it a brandi and it is accepted as either one depending on what each gym uses. But, then again I'm not an expert in gymnastics or anything, its just from my own personal observations.

I always thought it was branny, like granny with a B. could be totally wrong, but i know what skill you are talking about!

My senior coed 3 did standing double handspring step out, turn round off hand spring, tuck. this video isnt the best quality (and not our best performance!) but it happens around 20 seconds
