It's on again tonight (at 8 here in Chicago) - you might be able to catch it then. I'm recording it because I'm dying to see it after my idiot friend said she loved it and hopes to be on it. Of course this is also the friend who knows half the people on Toddlers and Tiaras and thinks sugar is a great pageant day breakfast.
i will for sure watch that rerun because i turned it on for the first 2 min. and then my cable turned off but its on now so its good its on again 2nite:)

I caught the end of it...Holy Cow... In my opinion, Patty Ann expected perfection for the girls and how it would reflect on them. Now, I am certain she wanted performances to reflect well on her coaches/gym as well, but I got the feeling it was that she wanted it FOR the girls. Again, in my opinion, Abby Lee seems to want everything to reflect on HER... how parents acted, how girls performed, etc. Idk. I just felt like she wanted girls to perform well to boost HER image, not necessarily as much as she wanted it for the GIRLS.
True, I do not know these ladies and I am also certain that editors have to do what they have to do to make the show "entertaining." Again, just my opinions.

I'm watching the first 7 minutes of it, and already I think this thing is set up to be more drama-tastic than anything. From the pyramid to the parents watching area to the way they have set up the girls just screams nonsense/unbelievability..

this was my post int he other thread...

It's in penn hills... about twenty minutes from downtown pittsburgh.
that's where i started (it was just called marilyn lorraine then.. that's abby's mother's name, she used to be the owner and main teacher when i was young) i stopped dancing when i started cheering 8 years ago. its really like that there.. i mean i think a lot of it is amped up for tv but i don't doubt that she said or would say that stuff if it weren't filming. they signed a release saying they could rephrase their sentences apparently as well. it is crazy and without being in a cheer/dance/tiara world no one would believe its real but as crazy as it is. she produces amazing dancers. one was just on so you think you can dance (miranda maleski, who went to my high school as well) others are dancing on broadway, down in disney world, or are teaching dance. mark meyars ( i think that's the spelling) is one who was graduating when i started there and he's been in a ton of shows since. it looks crazy and i prob wouldn't have stuck it out with that much longer but if i had i know that whatever i'd have done it'd be the way she wanted it, she wouldn't rest if it wasn't.

and the watching area has been that way since i danced there. that for a fact isn't special for the show lol. it always did create a few probs and drama sinc eparents could see into the three dance rooms and causing us to get yelled at for looking at our parents lol.

I would love a season of Jersey Cheer!!! I thought dance moms was very entertaining and as previous fiercers have said, it bares a very similar resemblance to the world of competitive cheerleading!!! I for one loved Abby's honesty with both her students and their parents. Do I think she could communicate in a less demeaning tone, yes! But then again its her studio and that alone entitles her to run it how she sees fit. Its up to the customers to decide if her obvious knowledge and experience in her profession outweighs her demanding standards and some times over the top attitude! She seems to be one of those people you either love or hate but she is going to do her thang regardless!! She has to be doing something right because they all want to work with Abby Lee!!

Abby Lee kinda reminded of Patty Ann....just more crazy lol

Thats what I thought. But I think that Patty is a much more effective coach. A good amount of pressure, and she pushes them. Abby pushed that one girl to the point where she was going to throw up. And right before they were about to perform their first routine like "Party Party" she was backstage yelling at them and psyching them out!

And I thought that I heard $16,000 dollars a year?!?! That's insane!! I am comparing it to what cheerleading costs, and I think that that is a little outrageous.

And that pyramid thing, where the best girl goes on top, and she gets to be front and center. I would hate that if they had it in my gym!

But I thought that it was pretty entertaining when she was yelling at the minister!! Or when the two moms were double fisting in the bar and basically drunk the rest of the time, and that one mom who was obviously drunk and burnt her kid with the curling iron? Oh my god...

LIFETIME PLEASEEEEEEEEEE BRING BACK THE JERSEY GIRLS <3333 I need my Patty Ann!!!!
