It's not that simple. 'Affect' can also be a noun, as in "a flat affect", and 'effect' can be used a verb, as in "to effect a change".'Affect' vs 'effect'. Irritates me every time. One's a verb and the other's a noun, people.
I know, I'm talking normal colloquial usage. When people say things like, "it effected me"; "it had a big affect". Grrrr, kills me.It's not that simple. 'Affect' can also be a noun, as in "a flat affect", and 'effect' can be used a verb, as in "to effect a change".
I can never keep them straight :(I know, I'm talking normal colloquial usage. When people say things like, "it effected me"; "it had a big affect". Grrrr, kills me.
Whenever my dad would hear someone say "liberry" he would ask them if they were going to check out a blueberry book.I have coworkers that say "liberry" and I'm just like...how? You work here.
I also hate when I'm called a "liberrian"
All Dad's jokes are hilarious, some people just do not appreciate good humor.Whenever my dad would hear someone say "liberry" he would ask them if they were going to check out a blueberry book.
ETA: It actually doesn't sound that funny now that I reread this, but I think my dad's jokes are hilarious.
