Thought since Halloween is coming up, it would be fun to hear your Halloween traditions :)

I think one of my favorite Halloween traditions when I was growing up was when my mom would take me up to my grandparent's house and we would go trick or treating. The place around where they lived gave out the best candy. My grandma would dress up as a witch and scare the high school kids by hiding in a bush and jumping out. She loved Halloween and she is why I love Halloween as well. :)

So, What are your favorite Halloween traditions?

I grew up in an apartment building. Halloween costumes and trick or treating were not weather dependent. We would hit our own building first and then head over to my friend's which had twice as many floors as ours.

When I got older, we would head down to Greenwich Village and watch the parade. Craziest costumes you will ever see!

@CheerBank -I am hoping to catch The Parade this year. I took cp when she was three and it was so much fun.

Halloween is my favorite holiday so we try to cram as much as we can into it. We celebrate all month lol! There is a street in NJ where all the houses are decorated, so we try to do that. We also hit the haunted yard in our town that an ex Broadway designer has created. He should charge admission for it, but instead gives us wine and thanks us for coming :) We usually hit Six Flags Fright Fest or Dorney for a night of adult fun. The town next to us has a Haunted Mill which I have never been too, i want to try that this season since it is literally 5 minutes away.

Both the gym and (what was) our rec team have Trunk or Treats and we do the traditional pumpkin picking/hayride and cornmaze adventures as well.

And then on Halloween night, we always head back to the town where we used to live and trick or treat with her 2 besties that we have TorTed with since she was two :)

eta-- I live in an area of NJ where most of the fall/Halloween things closer than a local Walmart-lol. (not really but, almost!) We are lucky that we can do things on an afternoon after school and not take a whole day.

I don't have any Halloween traditions....my parents would drive us around the neighborhood tho....which is incredibly lazy in retrospect.

But I think it was because we'd always go to my Grandma's house right after

I was actually complaining the other day because I can't give out candy in my neighborhood.....there aren't any children. Then I debated driving 2 hrs home to take my niece trick or treating or passing out candy at my moms house.....but I think that's too much effort since I have to work the next day

Halloween is my favorite holiday and I've secretly been celebrating since August :p

I don't have any traditions except watch as many scary/Halloween movies as I can.

In tenth grade my parents planned our first trip to Disney World in October and while we were there we went to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. Oh my goodness I was in heaven. It was so awesome. If anyone loves haunted houses and the likes, I totally recommend doing it if you're ever in the area in October.

awww, you are killing me. I just canceled our trip to Florida for Halloween, last night :( No Not So Scary Halloween Party or Universal for me.

@mamabear Thinking of going in this year because it is a Friday night. Will probably decide that week when I see the weather forecast.

I've always wanted to see someone dress up as Selena Quintanilla-Perez for Halloween, she was beautiful (inside and out) and wore the most gorgeous outfits.

SO JEALOUS. I want to go to Disneyland during Halloween time so badly! I keep hearing all the ads on the radio and like 5 local stations are giving away tickets. But theres no way I could get the time off of work and miss school, even if I did get tickets. Have extra fun for me!!!

I usually do not do anything or dress up for Halloween, but my Fav band the Nerds r playing in Philadelphia. So I got a hotel free thru hubby discount and going to go to the casino with a bunch of friends to see them, and dress up! Can not wait!

I know! It's the only time I haven't been so far! I've been for Christmas, 50 year celebration, year of a million dreams, etc, but never Halloween!
