All of our teams (y1, y2, j2, j3) go to the same competitions. 7 one day competitions and 3 two day competitions (plus a fourth, depending on bids to end of season events). Every competition but one is within a 1.5 hour drive from the gym- living in the Chicago suburbs is a gift because there's no shortage of big competitions. Our one "travel" competition is Jamfest Super Nationals, which is a 3-4 hour drive for everyone. We also do 2 showcases in the town where our gym is.

We are doing one Summit bid event and the consensus is that we'll cross that bridge when we get to it... I doubt most parents will agree to it this season even if we were to earn a bid.

Large gym last year: 8 local, and 2 in Florida (Summit and UCA).
Small gym this year: 8 local, 1 showcase, 1 in california and possible Summit.
Our mini team is only going to 5 of those, though.

Gyms around here typically go to the same competitions: 2-3 at a high school, 2-3 "local nationals", state, a random crappy competition, and some teams travel out of state.
What competition in California will you be going to?

I don't think so. i've never gone to one at least. Most school competitions are run at Kentwood, Skyline, and i think theres one at Gig Harbor HS.
Slightly off topic, but does Oak Harbor High School still run a competition? That one was one of my favorites, mostly because it was the first time I got to see a 'real' level 5 team and Kentwood High School.

This use to be a very big All star competition about 8 to 12 years ago. I'm pretty sure they still have a high school state qualifier at Oak Harbor, but non of the local All Star teams compete there.
