One million shimmys to you. I would hope they actually even read the thread before making those comments....Is that right?
So pointing out errors or safety violations doesn't meet that criteria?
Pointing out hypocrisy doesn't meet that criteria?
Discussing potential changes and the good/bad that they might produce doesn't meet that criteria?
If that's what you think, then I think you're looking for the unicornboard and not this one.
OMG the Unicornboard. Too bad April Fools has passed...we could have renamed the boards for a day.Is that right?

Dang, and I have to go host a conference call. Dang, dang, dang. :D:pI'm gonna go get some sweet tea and popcorn for lunch, and I'll be back soon to see what's been worked out here.
Exactly! And everyone who posted on that thread did so knowing that they were subjecting themselves (and likely their gym) to the same kind of scrutiny and criticism. If that doesn't prove to anyone how seriously concerned people are, nothing will. It isn't about being nice, it is about being honest - and caring enough to put your neck on the chopping block!I replied to that thread several times and will note that I saw no bullying in it. There are plenty of options for that gym to showcase their skills without putting dangerous ones on the floor.
......
I would like to add that I respect everyone in that thread for wanting the best for the athletes. I have seen scary fulls thrown and result in injury...torn ACLs, broken ankles, etc. No one wants that to happen to any athlete at any program. The same standards apply for large mega-gyms too. I would hope that if someone would call out Stingrays or Cheer Athletics if they put a routine on the floor with tumbling that looked like it would cause an injury.
There is no problem discussing the rule changes but when names of programs become involved then I think there is a problem.
I'm always concerned about you, ACEDAD.You're not even concerned about me??
shimmy X 1000I'm always concerned about you, ACEDAD.
The thing is- I'll admit I'm a big ol' meanie and only watch the routines I care about. I don't watch a lot of local teams (because there aren't many local competitions in NYC lol), so I would never have known about these smaller gyms doing this. It's unfortunate that SOMEBODY has to be a point of reference, but if you're not willing to back up your routine as a good one you shouldn't put it on the floor. PERIOD.
I'm so jealous!!!Acedad shimmied me. I feel like I have arrived. ;)
