I coach an elementary squad in KY. We have competiton coming up in a few weeks and I can't get the comp company to answer a legality question. I appreciate any help!
Here are the rules for this particular competition. We compete under the intermediate level.

The stunt in question can be found in this youtube video at the 6:30 mark.

It's the toe touch stunt. We love it and the girls can do it but I'm not great at interpreting the rules and have no clue if it's legal! I would also like to know if it's legal according to AACCA high school rules.

Thanks Sooo Much for Any Help!

In the intermediate pyramid rules is this section:

During pyramid transition, a top person may pass above 2 persons high only while
in direct arm-to-arm contact with at least two top persons at prep level or below.
These transitions may not involve changing bases.

(Clarification: Arm-Arm/Handto-Hand connection must be made with EACH of the two supporting bracers.
Top person must be braced arm-to-arm with EACH of the two bracers. Being
braced by one side with both arms and the other side by hand-foot
connection is NOT permitted. If top person is braced on each side with armto-
arm connection and a THIRD bracer with hand-foot connection would be
permitted.)

Seems to me the section about "arm-to-arm contact with at least two top persons" would prohibit this because they are only in contact with one other person.
If you need AACCA approval, email Jim Lord at [email protected]. Be sure to send him the video as well.

Hmmm, so maybe have her stay in the pyramid and stay connected on each side. Thanks! I'll c what he says.

By the way, how is Jenny Wiley State Park this year? Haven't seen it in 15 years.
