You can get a paid bid to Worlds with a 92?

Each of the 8 senior divisions are guaranteed a paid bid as long as you place top 5. Since the other 3 had a paid, they automatically got one.

I think at their level, both teams know the sacrifices the other has made. Nobody is hands down better than the other. They’re all crazy gifted athletes. At that point I think you just respect the the hustle, awards aside.

I know we’re trying to be more athletic or whatever but like... bows are literally a symbol of cheerleading. Why would we move away from them?

Like I support us taking the industry in a cleaner more athletic direction but it’s ridiculous we’re doing it by removing bows but there are teams like OO, LL, TGLC, etc competing in costumes dancers would balk at. I just don’t get it.

Worlds will be really interesting if TGLC and Steel both hit. TGLC raw with 1.75 in deductions was 99.03 and Steel with 0 deductions was 99.20.

I mentioned somewhere else that the bow creates a nice silhouette that makes the body look more balanced. These unis are form fitting. People’s heads are small compared to the rest of them. If you put hair back and take away the bow, they look a little pinheaded. The bow makes everything more symmetrical.

I agree completely. Plus it’s like, the symbol of cheerleading. It’d be like football taking away eye black, or gymnastics doing away with scrunchies, or ballet taking away tutus. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Like I’m fine with them discouraging posh ponies, but I don’t get the bow hate.

Every time they jump next to the gigantic trophy, I get nervous and think the trophy is gonna fall down.
