Does anyone have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel? I've been trying to figure out this problem for my online class forever and I can't even figure out how to do it in the book. SO frustrating.
I have to "construct a formula to calculate the projected operations cost after the foretasted increase is implied". I know how to do the math but I do not know how to make it into a functioning formula.
I have to take 35,617,667 x 3.5% and then take than answer and add it to 35,617,667.
So I thought my formula would be =(B35*B31)+B35 but when I type that in my answer appears as ##### not 36,860,285 as it should be. Can anyone help?!
I tried on my computer, and I get the same thing but I think the problem comes from the use of "," and "." the "American way". That's not how we write decimals in France so they weren't even recognized as numbers (we would write 35 617 667 and 3,5%, I switched and it worked). There must be a way to switch your settings to your decimal writing !
ETA : Never mind... :D
