That is interesting. We are required to take a concussion test at the beginning of the year in case we would ever get a concussion so they would know what is normal for us. This year we took the test on a computer.
They should actually make all athletes do a baseline at the beginning of their season. Makes a lot of sense.

But he is also comparing her performance to ones on TV (award shows and such) and everyone most assuredly has a track then. (Despite the fact that 90% of the world thinks Ashlee Simpson was the first and last artist to ever lip sync. )

I don't think anyone actually sings completely live anymore.

Often times with televised performances (as is the case often with National Anthem singing especially), the TV audience hears the pre-recorded track, but the stadium audience hears the singer sing live. I BELIEVE this is what the case was with Whitney Houston's so infamous National Anthem singing at The Superbowl (that or it was just flat out lip synced). There are quite a few artists who sing full songs live these days, removing my biases, most of the relevant female artists in the industry do, but when you go to see an artist like P!nk live (who claims to have never used and will never use a backing track), you're hearing her back up singers a LOT. Especially with her, it's to the point you don't even hear her voice sometimes. The problem is that nowadays, there's so many different layers added into the studio versions of songs that it's impossible to get even a similar sound by just having the main artist sing that song with a band or instrumental.

Meh. I don't believe the ones that say they don't use them. Even P!nk, despite my undying love for her. But I'm pretty much indifferent to it... if it sounds good I like it; if it doesn't, I don't.

I agree. Every artist needs to preserve their instrument. No one can do a world tour without saving their voice sometimes. Or you could pull a Beyoncé and lip sync every performance of Love On Top ever.... (insert me praying to Lord Beysus we someday get a live performance of it). I just don't respect an artist like Britney who goes out and doesn't even bother to make an effort.

I'm sitting here trying to remember that scavenger hunt for worlds everybody came up with last year, and besides 'moms wearing cheer bows' i'm drawing a blank. I decided to google it, and i found this page.
