I just keep telling myself 1 more speech, 2 more tests, and 2 more website design assignments until summer.. only 3 more weeks, I can do it, right? :p But then I'll be only 3 classes from graduation! But if I move to Texas, I'll be transferring to either UH or UHCL (if we move to Houston) or UTSA (if we move to San Antonio).

On that note, I really hate how my friends are hating on my choice to moving with my parents. They're all like wahhh why are you 22 and moving with your parents. And I'm like cause right now really isn't the right time to be over 1,000 miles away from my parents with the stuff that's been happening to my dad, and heck, I'm all for taking the chance to move someplace warmer and since I'm listed as a dependent on my parent's taxes, I can typically get instate tuition a lot faster than waiting the 12 months. And I mean, my friends ALWAYS complain about living here, so I feel like they would take the same opportunity as well if they had the option.

You sound like a very smart young woman to me. Do what's best for you, not what friends think you should do. Your parents have done a great job raising you!!

Yep, I figure I have about 70+ years to live without my parents still, why rush it at such a bad time? And I'd be paying as much to go to school/live here as I would going to college there and living at home. Plus, I'm super blessed that my parents are paying for my college out of their own pockets so I don't have school loans to pay back, and going to college there would be the better choice financially (and probably emotionally) for all of us.

I got flack for moving too because my parents also moved to GA, of course it was because my dad's job transfered down here and I just happened to get a job down here. Friends wanted to know why I would move with my parents down here, but really I am glad that they also moved down here because I wasn't here alone. If I need anything they are right there for me. Then a few family members started giving me crap recently because I am thinking about moving in with them when my lease is up. To me it will save money for a while, plus it means the money I won't be spending on rent can go towards student loan repayments. Finances are more important to me then living on my own.
Let people talk all they want, you are making the choice for what is better for yourself and your family. It doesn't matter what they think because they aren't you.
