Here is an example of a uniform that is TOO SMALL. Not an extreme situation at all it is reality and it is worn on stage. There is absolutely no reason that a top needs to be this small. If you have a girl on the team with larger breasts explain to me how she could comfortably perform with that top on? 3 different girls on 3 different teams all in the same uniform and all are barely covering their chests.

This is just 1 team that has uniforms that are small. If these teams can do it then who knows what the next step will be. Where is the limit on it all?

And again if you ask me my opinion I think they are cute and they show very nice on stage.
Ultimately I would not personally challenge them but I would encourage you to bring those concerns to the owners of that buisness and start a dialogue with you about thier reasons behind the design choices

But this uniform nor any other gives you the right to create a policy or a rule. Your concern is thier are no checks or limits...my suggestion is create a committee and allow your voice and theirs to be heard on the matter. Or better yet reach out and start a conversation but do not think that a wrongly inacted rule is the way to stop what seems to bother you and a few others so much.

So fierce uniform is questionable (I would not have my kid wearing it). However unless I feel the need to call social services it is none of my business what the parents put on their kid.

Yeah it should matter how something looks on "statge" it should matter if it is functional with the activities that are being done. Fact is if I put that top on there is no way that I would be able to perform to the best of my abilities because I couldn't wear the proper supportive bra. I guess though that the NCAA and USAG are wrong too though because I can guarantee the NCAA didn't take a vote when they approved their uniform regulations. Maybe next year the UK basketball team should fight the NCAA to be able to play shirtless because they think it is appropriate.

They are in the south it would more likely be UCLA or CAL.....wink wink :)

In all seriousness again you don't have to wear it.
And the NCAA I am sure has regular meetings with its member schools.

Actually, yes it is. I'm inclined to state mine and you're inclined to state yours.
But, I'm obviously not the only one thinking this if USASF has decided to change the rules on it.

(This is not directed to you, just me talking in general.) If crop tops are so near and dear to your heart or it is your sole purpose for you cheering, then maybe consider a different sport. Everyone is making this change into a big deal when it really isn't. If this rule stays in tact, which I kind of have a hunch that it will, you have two options: deal with it or quit cheering. Or make it onto a Senior team, so I guess three kind of.

yep apparently parents do not know whats best for their children, gym owners dont know what to put their athletes in and athletes do not know what is respectable in society but a governing body to whom we are all just a number to are and apparently have the rights to amend and change rules as they see fit without going through a system of checks and balances and asking for opinions because lets face it why would we want to make a large monopoly smaller or level the playing field or give gym owners any shred of respect or authority about what they do in their gym

Sure, yes. We switch uniforms over next season (we do it every 3 years). But what of the athlete that is Junior the first year she purchases her uniform and then Senior the following two years? By mandating non-crops for Youth and Junior the USASF is mandating my entire program to full tops unless I want parents to pay more. Which I do not.

Your gym could also do what some do and that is "rent" the uniform -- they belong to the team, so if the following year she moves up she gets a Senior uniform. My girls have not been at a gym where they have purchased their uniforms yet. They are numbered and cleaned and returned at the end of year.

that would drive me nuts i love having my uniforms as a keepsake i put them in shadow boxes when they're retired after x amount of seasons

I think that is great, but there are a lot of people presenting money and purchasing uniforms as a factor and my points it doesn't have to be set on the individual cp and family -- a gym can choose to rent and upkeep them - saving money for the families.... I have to tell you I am a big saver of special memories (I still have my cheer uniform from many years ago) so I get wanting to save those but for those presenting the financial constraints of moving from junior to senior that would be one answer (also it does not say a Senior team must wear a crop top -- our seniors have a full top -- though it does differ from the younger teams)

I understand wanting to keep crop tops for...whatever reason, but I think at this point you are just being stubborn on your stance.

You honestly don't think that top would cause...eh hem..."distractions"? Especially during jumps and tumbling?

You can stand by the fact that you'd like to keep crop tops because you like them and/or don't want to be told what to wear, but if you really don't think these uniforms are impractical for ATHLETIC purposes...you are being irrationally defensive of your argument.
