So you wouldn't go to World's then since they condoned cheating (and rewarded it w/the highest tying score)?Finger pointing, the blame game, however you wanna slice it..... Cheating, skirting the rules, gray areas. Everyone knew it was wrong....all should be punished FULLY!
So you wouldn't go to World's then since they condoned cheating (and rewarded it w/the highest tying score)?
And you're the one skirting my question....hmmm?
Would you guys still go to one of cheer's biggest events if it was the EP who approved/approves of cheating/gray area, etc?
Settle down Beavis..no claws here (trust me-when they come out they tend to shut down whole thread for some reason )Skirting what question, I replied to your post. Are you for teaching you child to cheat and as long as you don't got caught it is okay??? That is the real question here!!! Watch out your claws are showing!!!
It's none of them actually. My question lies here...everyone who complains about cheating (whether a gym or EP) all says, "off with their heads" and/or "the EP's shouldn't have so much power", "I wouldn't have my kid compete w/or AT a company who cheats", etc. So we know how people supposedly feel and what they would do.Is your argument that the EP should be the only party punished, since they condoned the cheating?
Or that the EP and the gym that cheated both be punished?
Or that, if the EP can't be punished equally (in some way) to the gym, then the gym shouldn't be punished at all?
Just trying to understand your motivation for focusing on the actions of the EP rather than those of the gym.
As a "mini" mom you share alot of opinions on here..... Don't appreciate the Beavis comment but you always seem to be on attack. Maybe you should read all my posts on this thread before you ream me. I said from the beginning....one of the first post on this thread everyone should be punished appropriately. If that means the cancel Worlds for your Bangkok cheat....so be it. We lived many years.....before your days in allstars without Worlds, with quite a few less headaches. Now answer my question...Do you teach your daughter to cheat as long as she doesn't get caught? Hmmmm....Settle down Beavis..no claws here (trust me-when they come out they tend to shut down whole thread for some reason )
And I apologize if you have actually answered my question and I haven't seen it..but I asked if you would attend the EP's event if they were involved-as you said they should be equally punished, but would you condone their behavior and still attend their comps. I never saw a reply to that unless my go-go gadget eyes are deceiving me. :p

My question is, do you really? Does that make any sense?
I think this post alludes to exactly what I stated in my previous post. It's about a "loved" big gym so now we bring extenuating circumstances and grey areas into play. Cheating is cheating. Just because the EP allows it doesn't mean it's ok. I highly doubt EP #1 approached gym owner #2 and said "Hey why don't you use an illegal crossover and I'll look the other way." and even if it was that scenario if Gym Owner #2 accepts the terms and goes with it they're just as much at fault and whether sever or not guilty of cheating. There should not be a grey area with cheating...you did or you did not. Just because someone oks it doesn't mean you didn't cheat. The person in question knew the rules and knew they were breaking them. If it truly was that the EP gave the go ahead, then they both are to blame. Gym owner looses their bid which in turn means they loose their worlds placement that year, and honestly the EP should loose their ability to give bids the following year. Is it a Glamourous option for the cheer world? No, many people will be affected and upset by it. However, you have to start somewhere and make it clear you're enforcing the rules or else why bother having the rules at all.
As a side note. All the talk I have heard so far leaves me with little hope for my previous post coming true. People are going to find a way to support those in question even if they're found guilty and punished. Also silence says a lot. If I were a gym owner and the integrity of my gym were in question, and I knew it was false, you wouldn't be able to shut me up. I'd be fighting tooth and nail to keep the integrity of my gym in tact.
Sarcasm...it's a fond trait of mine, I truly mean no harm-but I guess that depends on your sense of humor. I've had that saying for over 15 years...sorry if it bothered you. I wasn't trying to ream you. I simply wanted to know if you would attend a competition if you knew the EP had cheated..that's all (to which I'm still not clear on, but I guess that's my fault?)As a "mini" mom you share alot of opinions on here.....
