I'm sorry, did he just compare Cali SMOED to an Olympic level team? I mean...really? The Olympics is about highlighting the best OUR COUNTRY has to offer---YOUR TEAM CONTINUES TO BRING SOME IN FROM OUT OF COUNTRY! Not saying the Olympics doesn't play the citizenship games, but you're comparing apples to guns. This is All-Star Cheerleading...you're never making the front of a Wheaties box or millions of dollars in endorsement deals.

Furthermore, I don't think you're the 'bad guy' for having an opinion, but I do find it hilarious that you won't man up and post in here yourself. You clearly have a lot to say.

Right. You can't compare the two because the U.S. Olympic team is all about bringing the best athletes from all over the country together and typically cheerleading is not. And the majority of cheer teams are about fielding teams from athletes in the area surrounding the gym--not the whole country.

but he's doing the smart thing and leaving it to look like a mature adult who actually wants to have a positive reflection on his gym.

ETA: not saying you can't stick up for your kids, but when you're that emotionally invested in something, it's better to just ignore it (unless you have something to actually add instead of just SL&AMing people.. ;)

The thing that strikes me about this entire issue---ie. taking it back to twitter is that nothing being said is actually THAT bad. It's doesn't even hit the same scale of the comments made about SMOED at earlier times. Outside of people saying the show is too short, boring, same ole' same ole', and a minor discussion on 'home-grown' athletes (which pales in comparison to other threads)---no one is really attacking SMOED. Saying you side eye them...is that really the worst insult you're worried about hearing? Is it really worthy of a twitter FB war?

I mean, it's only August---and with the second reference to how (presumably me, though I'm not that vain to believe your twitter revolves around me); you clearly have someone running back to you with info the second it happens. I don't believe you sit on twitter; but I do find it a bit strange that a certain member has seemed to pop up now twice when you've taken your FB issues to twitter. Perhaps she should get another hobby?

As much fun as playing with Orby round 2 has been, my phone is now blowing up because of our DA (read that as the curse word it should be) school district just issued student planners to 2nd graders with depictions of injected needles and drugs.

Right?! I actually like Orby but this isn't doing him any favours. Let it roll off your back. If I knew there was a place where people opposed my way of doing things, I'd either avoid it completely and carry on winning worlds titles the way I know how, or if I wanted to defend myself I'd face the music and discuss things with the people there.

My mother always said "What people think of me is none of my business" so I'd rather live in ignorance :D

This! They're just so not comparable; I mean, if AS cheer ever became an Olympic Sport then sure, I get that comparison---but it's not. It's not even close.

How about a funny derailment until next week's blow up...I saw this video earlier and it just made me fall out of my chair laughing.
