With competition season here, things tend to get a little nasty. But remember your words not only represent you and your gym but also the Fierceboard as a whole. I know that recently in American Cheerleader, the boards were mentioned in a less than positive manner. Let's try to change that! Think before you post and keep things to a friendly argument. Keep the Fierceboard a fun, positive place to be! (:

Thanks for posting this, some people get a little carried away. We need to remember we're here for one thing we all love- and that's cheer! :)

Can you post a link to where I can read the article?
it wasn't really a full article all about the boards. It was a Q&A with a few cheerlebrities and one mentioned the boards in a question about social media and cheer.

The board is what it is. It's more moderated than twitter (which can just get plain awful!). Don't expect the board image to change but appreciate what it is and spread the word.
I know, but I feel that within the past 6 months especially, people have definitely lost their filters and haven't had the greatest level of respect. It's worth a shot at least!

From the top down this year is no different than the others so far except a lot more volume. Twitter has helped us be a lot calmer because people can get their instant emotional response out there. As well the rules in place have kept things controllable.

And remember it doesn't matter if it was mentioned badly... It was mentioned! So even someone with an ill misconceived idea of what the board is will still be curious enough to visit. Why is this place so popular? Because all people talk about here is cheer pretty much 24/7. Where else can you get that?

I am almost positive it was mentioned twice in that magazine. Once in a negative light and then in a different section in a positive light. When I have time I will look for it and try to find the pages I am talking about. I did think it was cool they mentioned Fierceboard twice.

You are correct! It was in their twice!

Personally I think there are negatives and positoves but my favorite part is the fact that I can log in when at work and it gives a GREAT mental break from work and leads me to the cheer world! AND I laugh at some of it b/c it is drama (which I am sure I don't help...) and some is informative and well, it's a message board not a history book! Although yes, some things that are being moderated need to stay clean :-)
