All-Star Uca All Star Championship Questions

Our gym is going to this comp for the first time this year. After looking over the pricing...and picking my jaw up off the floor...I would love to get some input from anyone who's been before. Our team is hoping to stay somewhere other than the All-Star Resorts. I stayed there for a family vacation years ago and wasn't impressed. Also, the pricing per person to stay there seems ridiculous! Questions I have:
1- Has anyone done this and just paid the "Commuter Participant Fee"?
2- If so, did it include the "UCA/UDA Night" at Magic Kingdom (it does not specify that on pricing sheet)?
3- Can you recommend good hotels or condos close by?

I would love any input or advice you can give me on this, thanks!
