i agree! to make the stunt work everyone is equally important. I have based and flied and I think they are both hard and deserve the same credit:)I was always a base, and sometimes it would bother me that my flier would get all the credit, but you have to remember that they're usually taking all the heat if they mess up in front of a crowd too! So it goes both ways. I don't think that any athlete is "better" than another just because they fly, base, back... Saying that fliers are the best cheerleaders just isn't fair, just like saying bases/backs are the best - we all do different things and when it comes down to it, we all need each other! :D
Backspots get *NOO* credit. Ever.
Idk how many times people have told me backspots are just there to catch. Seriously??
i feel like the flyers are also blamed when the stunt falls.
ya me 2!yes because when asked how a team did the first thing people say is "flyer's name" fell! I hear it all the time!
all the flyers have to do is lock their leg and perform the skill the bases are the ones doing the work they are the ones wasting all their energy in that stunt then they have to move to the next formation exhausted
the flyers have to do way more than just that!!
all the flyers have to do is lock their leg and perform the skill the bases are the ones doing the work they are the ones wasting all their energy in that stunt then they have to move to the next formation exhausted
K BUT!!!!! ..... When a Stunt group falls at competition you NEVER hear omg base 1-base2-backspot dropped that stunt....BUT u do hear (put flyer name here)_________ fell ! So look at it that way as well. Can't tell you how many times when someone has ask "how did such n such team do?? O they did good but flyer X fell. You don't here them calling put the bases names.
Each person does a job on the team, with any of you the team would not work the same:)
story of my life! i used to fly last year and now i base. i base a girl who has a good 30 pounds on me and every time she hits a stunt its never good job bases its always good job flyer. if it wasnt for the 3 people underneath her then that stunt wouldnt have gone up to begin with. the ONLY TIME me and the 2 other bases get recognized is when the stunt goes wrong but we somehow manage to keep it up in the air........news flash if the flyer was SOO good her bases wouldnt have to struggle as much to keep it up in the air!
