My CP is going week 8 also. She is 13, turning 14 this summer. This will be her 3rd summer going, she absolutely loves it.Thank you and look forwarded to our daily meetings! :)
I never thought about the inhaler thing. Do you know what the medication rules are at camp? My CP is also going week 8 and dealing with some pulmonary issues, so she has 2 different inhalers. Do you just take your inhaler with you or do you have to turn it into the nurse?i'll be there week 8 too & i'll probably see you a lot since i take an inhaler everyday haha. i'm sure she will make new friends! i do every year & it's nice seeing them at competitions & keeping in touch! woodward is a really good place to break mental blocks because it should give her comfort that no one knows her skills prior or that she has a mental block. they won't know what she has or what she used to have so she should be able to clear her head a little & it's always nice to get feedback from coaches you don't normally get feedback from:)
yes you have to fill out the medication sheet in the application & place whatever medication you want to send in the original medication box in a zip loc bag. you put her name on it & it gets turned into the nurse after checking in! when she needs to use it she just stops by the infirmary! if it's as needed vs. taken everyday x amount of times you should note that because they will make sure she takes it when it's noted she is supposed to so parents don't need to worry (1 of my friends has ADD & they would track her down when she tried to avoid taking it:rolleyes:) i have asthma & allergies so i've had to go both years i've gone. it's hassle free & you don't have to worry about losing it.I never thought about the inhaler thing. Not sure but I am going on the first week.
my drive is around 5 hours and it is deff worth it!!! there was a little girl in my cabin last year that only went for a week and she was from rockstar cheer in south carolina so i think thats around a 14 hour drive lol but without a doubt worth it!I thought Lake Owen was associated with Woodward, but on the Woodward website it doesnt' list Wisconsin as a location. I would save a little bit of travel time going to WI versus PA, but not enough if it's not even close to the same experience. Is going to PA worth the extra three hours driving?
I'm going week 8 too how old is she??My CP will be going week 8!! She is sooo thrilled. Still trying to figure out the travel tho!
