I wanna watch men's..poor women's tonight. VERY few people looked anywhere near ready for ANY competition, never mind the two biggest! Shame so many of the '08 ladies retired..

Since we have exhausted predicting 2012 world champions, can we predict the 2012 olympic team?

Mine is:
Alicia Sacramone
Jordan Wieber
Aly Raisman
Shawn Johnson
Rebecca Bross/Chellsie Memmel (depends on which one stays healthy)

predicting this team is more likely to be true rather than predicting the world champion of 2012 lol shawn looked so good out there!

Did anyone watch the little opening before Day 1? I wanted to know if Sam Peszeck (or however you spell her name) and Bridget Sloan mentioned if they were officially retired. I checked their wiki pages and I know both are out for injuries/recovery but both wikis mention them wanting to come back for late 2011/2012? Won't that shake up some predictions on who might go? Otherwise I agree with the one above, but I'd bet money on Chellsie Memmel. They NEED someone strong on bars..

Bridget had bicep surgery recently

Eeek day 1 was rough.

All I have to say is that alicia sac is looking amazing in everything. I feel like she almost has too much power in some of her skills, but she will be a force in international competitions. Shawn isn't looking to shabby now. I like seeing her new skills. Chellsie was impressive today. Consistency is what makes her stand out.

I'm way over Bross.

And Nastia needs to come back just for bars. She also needs to lose some weight. She's like a size 4 now.... gasp

I just walked by the hottest coach ever on my way to work. Not sure who he was, but just thought I'd share.

A couple videos have gotten leakes onto youtube:

Jordans looking good! I love her, I wish she would add a little more personality though.

i would really love if nastia came out of retirement. While watching the routines i was trying to look past some of the mistakes and see some potential. I maybe saw 2 or 3 gymnast that could do good for bars, but none as good as nastia :/ she really did "own" that event.

Wouldn't there be a conflict since she's on the selection committee? Or is that just selection for Worlds, not Olympics? I do think Nastia should come back just for bars, but who knows. Some of the less well-known ones might do well..Anna Li? Is that her name? She has a strong bars routine..it's why I think if it's between Bross and Memmel, Chellsie will get it. Her bars routine is stronger..

Woah, Alicia Sacramone is 23... she'll be 24 competing at the Olympics (turning 25 by the end of that year). That's OLD for a Olympian! Of course this is all if she does get on the Olympic team. I'm surprised that she is out still competing and Nastia is already retired!

As if I needed another excuse to feel ancient with my birthday coming up next week. 23 is OLD...*gah*.
