All-Star Allstar Resort/block Party

I know they want to let the cheerleaders from all around the world get a chance to meet eachother, but this whole block party thing seems to always get blown out of proportion. like, why aren't the coaches being good chaperones?

Whatever Its seriously true though I experienced it first hand.... If disney wants everything to go smoothly, they need to crack down on there security and maube not selling alcohol during worlds. Otherwise this is just going to be reoccuring problem

I walked out into it for a few minutes with a drink (I'm 21) and was actually confused as to why the security guards weren't doing more to stop it.... Plenty of kids walking around openly with alcohol that I'm sure were not of age.

They seemed to let it escalate too far until it got out of hand. By that point it was too hard to shut down without some outside force or backup. I left before the helicopter came. I'm old and need sleep.

I dont understand how the bar didn't check ID's?? And how a coach/parent/chaperone didn't seem to notice or care what an athlete was drinking? Clearly if you have a big red cup in your hand you're obviously not just drinking water at 11pm...Yeah the competition is over on Sunday but you're still representing your gym the whole time you're there!
I stayed at the All Star Resort for UCA All Star Nationals this year and they were really good with checking IDs.

She was DETERMINED that he was buying a drink for me since I was underage and said that if she saw him give it to me he would be escorted off the property. It was pretty excessive.

So I call BS on the bar not IDing people. The bar was closed when most of this went down anyway. Most of the kids had their own alcohol.

That's what I was thinking too..I was just there a little over a month ago! And they checked my ID every time. (Makes me sound like an alchy lol I was on vacation!)

Okay seriously the resort doesnt give a crap. Security giards were taking pictures and laughing ay what was going on and the bartenders were selling drinks without checking ids. The only reason the cops were really involved was because people staying in the allstar wefe complaining about the noise. And no matter were the usasf holds worlds or puts restrictions down, people are going to party. I do agree it got a bit out of hand but im not gonna lie, it was fun. Just figured I'd give the opinion of the athlete.

I'm guessing you are giving the opinion of an underage athlete?? WOW...you are just to cool! Way to represent your gym!

If they walked to the cafeteria or out to the pool they were likely to get caught up in it. It was probably hard for gyms to ban athletes from this event, seeing as it wasn't really an event at all.

The actual Block Party went well, from what I've heard.

Our kids were also not allowed to go to Allstar Resort and had a curfew of 11:30PM where we did room checks. If this happened before 11:30PM I feel confident in saying that their curfew probably would he changed to: get in your rooms now.

ok so for all of us who are witnessing this on twitter, really its not that hard, I found out about all of these from following one single person who is popular in the cheer world...especially if they are from big name teams, do we tell the coaches or just sit and watch it happen?

We keep complaining how big of a problem it is and the coaches keep saying they dont tolerate it, well its not that hard to find out which athletes are doing it because they gloat on twitter...I don't like to be a tattle tale but if its that big a problem maybe we should start being one.

Side note... These are the rules set in place by the USASF...

1. I agree to follow all safety, sportsmanship, hotel and performance rules both by the letter and spirit of the rule. 2. I agree to abide by the eligibility stipulations and substitution rules as determined by the USASF and I understand that if a violation is
reported, I may be required to supply eligibility verification to event officials. 3. I understand if one or more members of our team is found to be ineligible, is destructive to Disney property and/or competition-related
property, or behaves inappropriately, our team will:
A. Be disqualified.
B. Be responsible for repaying the total cost of any funds received through a “Paid” or “Partial Paid” bid.
C. Will not be eligible for any type of bid to The Cheerleading WorldsTM for the following year.
4. I understand our registration will not be entered/processed without this signed form.

I can totally understand the frustration of hundreds of rowdy, drunken, loud, rude, sexual teenagers partying but it is the last night of worlds and a lot of these kids plan ''meet ups'' on Facebook and just want to have a good time and relieve themselves of the stress of worlds season. Lots of the teams only see each other once a year and its a time to make some friends and see some old ones.

The problem is with coaches supplying alcohol. There is a drinking age for a reason and if its illegal than what those coaches are doing is illegal for sure. But lets face it the kids will get their drinks somewhere, that is just how it works, always has and always will. As for being trashy well we're in the Jersey Shore, Kardashian generation, being naughty is cool these days and for the guys... well it's the biggest gathering of gay athletes on earth so they're going to take advantage of that!

Maybe next year some of the hypersensitive mothers can organize a lego competition on Sunday night and others can chip in by providing juice and milk and cookies. Then everyone can be shown to their rooms and tucked in by 9pm.
