No way in the world our gym owner would let a single camera in our gym. Too much class for that.

Our gym received the phone call and then immediately received the following email. I explained to the girl that we were an all-star facility not a high school team. She explained that she just wanted that age (meaning seniors), didn't matter if it was all-star. I tried to be courteous since I had several parents in the reception area but I had a pretty good chuckle when I hung up the phone. There is no way that a sensible program would invite this kind of drama into their program.:

I'm casting a new TV series for Cheer Moms and their talented Cheerleaders. I'm seeking the enthusiastic moms you probably deal with all the time. Here is a little blurb about the show (also attached). Please post at the gym and email out to your moms to help us get the word out in your area. Include a quick bio with your name, occupation, city where you live, high school your child attends, cheer squad they are on. Brag about their cheerleading skills. What makes them the best? Include any performances/competitions you have footage of. How many hours of the day are dedicated to cheering? Include a phone number and a few photos of your child cheering and of you together!

Ughhh I dont like the idea either! Of course there are drama filled cheer moms whether its high school or all star but to me the drama that is on Dance Moms is fake. I still watch the show because I love the dancers and routines, but that drama and yelling has me shaking my head! And on the other side, it is all about money so who knows what will happen.

I got an email about this because cp does some acting. Dh surprisingly wanted me to apply because more than likely it would pay for her cheer plus privates but I don't want to go there. I have been known to wear the conductor hat on the crazy cheer mom train once in awhile and they would exploit it to the fullest potential...:rolleyes:

ok call me "that one poster" but I kinda would love to see a cheer parents show... and I would want like a mom from all the "areas of sterotypes" like they would need a cali mom and a world cup mom...merely because of the sterotypes that these area of the country are known for would draw audiences in...and I would like some areas that we know and love for the talents like a mom in the louisville area/ the miami area/ Carolina area/ texas area...It could be a great show if it was done in a tasteful light for sure

to be honest I would tivo the crap out of a show if you were on it... no lie! I legit sit at my computer and lol constantly reading your posts..I can only imagine how funny you would be in real life!

A production company has approached the owner and at least 10 parents from ICE Aurora about a cheer mom tv show. Most have agreed and are excited to participate. Not sure if it's just going to be about ICE, but pretty sure this isn't the high school show.
I personally believe there is way too much drama within IL cheer currently, I think like Dance Moms because I don't know any of them and it's just tv. Not sure I'd enjoy it as much when it's parents and kids I know? I don't think kids should ever be shown in a bad light? Jmho
