Back handsprings suck to learn. Especially if your older. I was on the same boat as you are now a few years ago. Just keep your chin up and believe. That's literally all you can do. When your coaches say you're ready, you're ready. So just do it. Don't hold back because that makes it SO much worse. Best of luck and keep us (or at least me!) updated on your progress :)

will do! yeah, i started to cheer when i was 10, and there was no major pushing from my coaches to be in a class. so several years went by, started tumbling at 14 (now 15) and am slowly getting there! :/

i've been taking tumbling for like a year, and have yet to get my backhandspring. oh, woodward west how i hope you make me be able to tumble!

Same!! Like, I was sooo close back in 7th grade that they had me starting tuck drills.. Then I couldn't go anymore because my parents like to do hypocritical things (saying I couldn't do all stars and tumbling if I didn't get straight A's and my brother couldnt play football if he got a c and he got a c and stillnplayed football when I got like, 2 bs and I couldn't fo all stars).. I started back up again during summer 2010 and was working them on my own on the tumble track so I was even closer then my mom ruptured her achillies tendon and couldn't do anything for 6 months so I didn't tumble at all.. Now I'm in tumbling at the same gym I went to in 7th grade and am working two standing back handsprings in a row off the cheese mat but still with a spot..

i landed my standing two handsprings to full, and my running double today at the end of practice. Worlds 2011 here i come! oh, and i WILL stick all my skills at worlds.

That's exactly how I was, except I started at 11 and I'm 15 now. But I got my standing bhs in january and lost it the next week but got my roundoff bhs the week I lost it and that's really consistent. I can do a roundoff bhs in my sleep now, but the standing is soo inconsistent. I'm working running tucks now. Just be patient, and thats soo hard for me to say because I'm the most impatient person in the world! Good luck :)

I'm at my place of employment, Panera Bread, just waiting for class to start. So unbelievably bored. Perhaps I should study for my ASL test today?

Well I have an hour and a half to kill until I can clock back on at work. I'm just laying in a booth watching the cubs game. I went tanning so I smell really good :)

No one at my school actually did the One Day Without because it was raining.. Not just drizzling but POURING DOWN RAIN. I had to wear my sperry topsiders because I trip so easily and me plus rain don't equal anything good
