Hey everyone! My toe touch is pretty consistently level, but i have developed a habit of "punching" off the ground that my coach says i need to fix- my prep is normal up to my tip toes, but on the swing down i allow myself to fall for a moment (feet hovering above ground while upper body drops) then use my legs to snap off the ground. When I do T jumps/ slow toe touches, i am able to not do it, but the second i speed my jumps up it happens again! any tips on how to stop/ get this out of muscle memory?? I know this is hard to visualize but thanks for any help!

I’m assuming ur saying that ur jumps fall a bit out of level when u try ur toe touch with power. I have the same exact thing. I would say try making ur back straight in the air, my friend always says that it generally just makes them look more impressive but I come to find out it also stabilizes you. So if you keep your back a bit straighter and don’t make your chest follow your arms while swinging down and out. It might help a bit!
