Well i wish i knew what was going on because thats how rumors start, when people dont have all the facts. But when gyms get too big and think the only thing out there is winning they have to cheat. Its not the end of the world if ur second or third. You gave to work with the talent you have and if you don't have 1st place talent you work with what u have to make it better by coaching and teaching mot cheating thats the lazy way out!

To speak from a the ONLY person who could possibly reasonably respond to this: your PMs are private. Unless someone is added to your PM no one can see them (as they are encrypted). So any suggestion any other way is ridiculous. I'm looking at you Mamarazzi for spreading inaccuracies.

Whole thing kind of makes me sad....if the rules don't mean the same for everyone, than what's the point of having them.? I don't really care if it was cheating, or favoritism, or a simple assumption that there is no reason to have to follow the rules. It makes thing unfair, and in competition, that is the thing we all agree to abide by.
This is theoretical of course. I have no attachments to team or event myself. I think the team who chooses to ask for favoritism should be a bit ashamed. It smacks of entitlement, but I think that the EP who allows is it is more to blame, since they took the money of every one who registered, ensuring them a competition.
I don't know the exact facts of this occurence, and I do think that in context things could be different. However, I also think that sometimes it doesn't matter what you meant, if what you did was wrong. Don't get me wrong. I like to understand things, and I get that the wrong thing doesn't mean bad intentions too.

Actually,IIRC there was a thread a while back where a very computer savvy user and you were discussing how PM's weren't technically private, but you have to really know how to get in there to see them. Something about code, something something.... quite honestly, it was way above my head. You stated something to the effect that you were suprised that they knew how to do that (IIRC)

The coach who asks for, and the EP who grants, favoritism and rule breaking should both be held accountable.
Idk why any of us are following any rules if it's perfectly fine to break them in "special circumstances". We all have some sort of special circumstances at every competition.

There are two ways to see PM's: someone could screen shot the PM (which would basically mean they would take a picture of what they are reading) OR they could have access to the database. I am the only person who has access to the database and I personally don't care enough to try and break through any type of encryption to see what you are writing eachother. I can see, however, that PM usage has quadrupled since this thread has started.
