I do remember that during their pyramid (there was a big discussion about it because people wondered why the flyer still did what she did), but he is talking about during the actual stunt they did assited rewinds.

Oh sorry! I just remember being impressed how that stunt hit even though the connection was missed!

And, for what is worth, I think the flyer was right to keep going -- because I am pretty sure Cheersport does not give a safety deduction if the illegal move is a result of a mistake, as opposed to an illegal move that is deliberately choreographed into a routine. So in this case, there would not have been a deduction for an illegal move.

And it was awesome.

I think twisting rewinds originating from the ground should only be allowed in level 6. What will set things apart for level 6 stunting is they can also do free flipping dismounts, and they can originate the flip from anywhere, not just the ground. So you could do it from a prep, and catch it at the top.

I will tell you though that a free flipping dismount is quite a bit easier than a double down.

Of course. Especially when its forwards and piked (3/4 flip to a cradle). Pretty sure I could get any flyer to do that in less than an hour.

I'm doing stunt privates with a gymnast who has never cheered in her life. She did a front flip from a prep on the first try. Her stretch double down took 3 tries. LOL

Then it is scientifically settled. Front flips are 3 times easier than a stretch double.
