I'm going to be honest. None of the moms on the show have particularly desirable bodies. They're all built like regular moms who have had multiple children. So if we're basing future bodies on that...none of their futures are too bright

But I mean really what is that to say to a 7ish year old? (Or anyone ). I spent the whole episode watching that mom trying to figure out what was so different about her

I was wondering about that too! The only thing that seemed like a possibility to me was that the little girl had thick and short ankles, which really aren't physically appealing for a dancer to have - and maybe the mom doesn't? Not sure if that was what she was talking about, but that's the only thing that stood out as less than ideal about the girls body related to dance.

Again Brynn's mom came off as a horrible witch - Jill isn't much better, but I'd still love to see her slap Byrnn's mom upside the head. Calling someone old is like the most ridiculous insult ever - she isn't a spring chicken herself, and she should never be wearing the clothes that she does at her weight.

After she said it, I rewatched And Abby is saying that it's good that she wasn't built like her mom. She was listing all of the good qualities about her and one of them was that she wasn't built like the mom

I must admit last nights episode pissed me off to the highest pissivity...

The 1st piss off came with the fake dishing out of dance assignments...Hey, so Maddie is the holy grail in this studio...She was 2nd from the bottom on the pyramid, but everyone treated not being assigned a dance with her is the road to dance competition doom..hmm, and you wondered why the Zeiglers had the attitude that this ALDC studio will be nothing without them... Can it be because all the dancers and moms believe this is so...

2nd piss off, why these moms are slamming Kira, Kalani's Mom for staying home and taking care of a newborn baby, so she is doing what a Mom supposed to be doing, staying Home with her newborn baby and possibly suckling this baby...As far as I remembered and learned in Health class, I don't think Men have evolved to be able to suckled a newborn baby! Maybe they can, Abby!

3rd pissed off, wait a minute, I need a 'mercial break... brb!
 
Did anyone catch the LaDuca shoes pitches too? Wonder how many Dance mom fans are gonna run out and drop the $250 on them. And we think cheer sneakers are pricey. hehe

I mean I own dance shoes in that price range sure, I'm also an adult. My two CP's who are also DP's with growing feet, no way no how not unless I hit the lottery.

I think Kalani's mom is nuts, not for staying home with a newborn but for allowing Kalani to be there without her. And isn't Melissa her guardian? How's that going to work if the divine M & M are no longer competing on the team and traveling?
 
Yeah I was disgusted at the whole "Kira needs to be here with Khalani and not at home with a newborn"


And from what I can tell Kira returns, but I'm wonder if the whole junior/teen team is dissolving

And at one point Abby said something about "You know how their moms get " or something (referring to Melissa and Kira) and then Maddie quips "One of their moms". She's just rubs me the wrong way sometimes. Occasionally bits of her teenage personality peeks through and she's just not likable

I agree, but this is not an usual situation and Kira signed over guardianship to Melissa, therefore, given her power to act on her behalf, which includes making medical decisions and signing for important matters for the best interest of Kalani...So, to beat this lady up and berate this child's mom and no less, trying to have Kalani speak out against her mom is WRONG!

PS: We had and have underage athletes who are living away and training with unrelated coaches and/or sponsor families... (Smoed, TopGun, Olympic gymnasts, ice skaters, etc..,)

Good point - cheer is probably THE biggest offender of the "stay away from my family for the sake of being on the best team" thing. The Kalani situation is no different from what GB did her first year on the Smoed show.

It's almost as if nobody is veiwed as serious about their sport unless they are living on their own a 1000 miles away w/ a host family anymore ;).

I think it's the same as well

But on the other hand, her participation on the show is driven by fame and money...since she's not on ALDC because they're the "best of the best" (isn't her Arizona studio way better...)

But either way. I'm not bother by her being away "for work" as I am Abby Lee acting like her mom should leave newborn with the dad and high tail it to LA

Kira does return and while I'm not sure whether or not the baby will be filmed, he is always with her. I also didn't understand Abby's comment about "There is a dad..." but then I remembered she's not a mom. As for Melissa, part of having guardianship is stepping in as a parent and I think for her to go back and forth on Kalani dancing made her look like a huge booty. Also, both Maddie and Kendall were full of attitude which never helps.

This show is fading and this is likely it's last season, so the M&M girls leaving is no shock. TBH, I'm amazed they came back for Season 6. I do think Lifetime is trying to pull a 'The Hills' with Brynn to see if she can possibly fill Maddie's role and her mom is able to carry on as the role of Melissa to keep it going beyond this season, but I just don't see it happening.

Also, watching the ratings, they're bad...like really bad.
