Took a lot of guts for Les to say what he did. I am happy that the situation has been clarified, apologized for, and steps are being taken so it wont happen again. What more can we ask for?

People are now more focused on what wasn't answered, the illegal elements that were possibly not marked as deductions. So I don't think people are still that hung up on the number of boys so much anymore. All we can do is wait and hope that the USASF releases a statement or releases the scores and breakdowns. Even with that though there are still going to be many more questions just about how they scored how they did on the scoresheet since that also doesn't make much sense.

Many people have appreciated what the USASF members like Les, Andre and ACEDAD have said to the board, but it has been a week and still nothing on the illegal parts of their routine issue. It may take time so until then I know I am just going to sit and try to patiently wait. The longer it takes though the more people may begin to think it is shady.

What makes you think anything will be posted about this? I would be stunned if anything is said.

I guess I don't which is why I said or the scores and breakdowns posted. That may answer questions just as well as an actual statement. I guess I figured since it has caused so much discussion that possibly something may be mentioned about it. More so I hope that there is but I am not keeping my fingers crossed. The scores and breakdowns being released like all the other divisions is good enough for me to make my judgement on it. I am more puzzled about those not being released then them not making any kind of statement about it.

@WyldWon I'm sorry this situation happened to your team but again, it sounds like it's more a function of the current system than the Worlds Rules Committee or safety judges trying to screw over your team. Had the coach gotten the routine to the Worlds Rules Committe instead of other coaches and event producers, maybe this would have been caught or at least addressed differently.

I really don't want to name who critiqued the routine....but they were USASF people, judges etc...The coach knew the proper protocol on who to send the routine, she has owned an allstar gym for over 14 years and is VERY knowledgable...the problem was she considered it a dismount from the center of the pyramid, flyers both feet touched the floor and the stunt moved back and reloaded to a show n go and bow to a dismount....judges considered it illegal because there was no backspot...its over with but I'm just looking for answers...remember the same thing happened to Brandon AS but being at the top of their game they were able to absorb the deduction and fix it for finals..we weren't allowed that luxury.

I AGREE, Les is a great guy! and I know he wants the best for the industry as all of us do! Thanks Les and if you see this I never was pointing fingers especially at you or anyone for that matter, You are respected by me in every way. I am just wanting relief of all the illegal things in our industry and it needs to stop! Hope all can understand that!

I will be trying to stop and help stop no matter what it takes and I myself will be way more involved than normal in this industry and will be at as many conferences with all those that feel the same in the future to help in anyway stop or help stop rules from being broken

This quote refers to eligible athletes as substitutions and alternates not incorrect numbers of boys on the roster.

Wouldn't this fall under "improper substitution"
They sub- 3 Guys in replace of 3 girls,

I don't read part of the substitutions and alternates rules that say anything about boys vs girls. They are all about whether or not the athlete competed on the floor when the team won their bid.

seems like it would be improper???

I agree. Just saying, this part of the rules doesn't appear to apply to too many boys on the floor or as @kingston worded it "improper rostering". Don't think anyone is questioning that these were eligible athletes.

I get it and no i don't think anyone is questioning eligible athletes, but thought since there are so many loop holes, that I would try to loop hole!!! Meaning if the 3 girls were on the floor at comp to get bid and worlds that the 3 boys would be alt or subs... so they would be improper sub, LOL! Sounds good but sounds stupid, I thought it was creative! :D I will just go to subway and get a sub tom. this is making me hungry!

O well i just need x ray vision glasses to see into some of these rules!

I think GT won. I don't think if Bangkok had 12 boys they would have tied. Their pyramids were better this year over last time because they had more people to make them with. Baskets are easier with more boys and stunts are easier if each one has a boy sidespot.

How many more boys did they have? if it's only ONE, are you saying their ONE boys made allllllll the difference between being tied for first and second? that one boy must have been the POO!

They had 14 or 15 boys but can't remember it was so many pages ago! LOL

Yeah i picked up at page 6..then read around page 9 or so (i could be off on page numbers...my eyes feel like sticky glue i'm so tired) I believe they said 15.

Overall, I agree, rules are rules. Sucks for everyone involved because now Bangkok will have this following them throughout their careers. GT will always be "jipped" at 2011 world's and so on and so on.

I'm so glad my cp isn't old enough for a world's team yet lol

Wow 25 pages (sorry I was without my comp this weekend so I'm doing some catch up posting). I do want to say that @ rulesguy and @Andre have been in the industry for a very long time and know their stuff when it comes to rules and regulations. I do appreciate their addressing the situation. I also appreciate the rest of the industry to standing up to them when they feel a mistake has been made. Do I think anything about this situation will happen immediately, no, but I do I think this situation, as a high profile goof up will lead to some changes for the future, absolutely. And THAT is where Les and Andre will be appreciated in the long run. There are still some unanswered questions but it is what it is and I hope that rules and consequences are more clearly drawn out in the future. I think all sides have learned from this,
A. If a rule is broken the industry will stand up, and that is what I am most thankful for learning this past few weeks
B. Even the big dogs make mistakes
C. The process of who to contact when you want answers
D. The process of who to contact if YOU want changes
E. Thank you to the boards for allowing ALL to express themselves
F. Can't WAIT till next year!!!

well, after reading all of this, and the debates, and tuning in a little late, I am at a loss for words. What kind of things are being taught to our kids, if rules are broken, intentional or not, this situation does not set a good example for those teams and kids who look up to worlds and the level 5/6 teams. Its almost sad the GT didnt take home 1st. A pyramid section shouldnt win it for any team, help scores yes, with a well rounded maxed out routine. This situation gives me a whole different respect for the "worlds" competition with the way things were handled. People have been stripped of gold medals for less than this, why is it allstar cheer cant seem to get on the same page when it comes to rules and regs across the board and enforce them? Just my thoughts!
