I didn't know a charter was created. MyGirlCheers posted a link with a document. If that is what you are speaking of the date on the posted document is 2004. Is a mutual benefit corp for- profit or non- profit?

There's that 'money driven' motive everyone resorts to when they don't understand the reason behind a decision. I implore you to dig deep and formulate some other motives that incorporate logic and reasonable consideration. Yes, money has to be considered in any industry. That's why your gym is open and why we have competitions for you to attend. But no, the USASF wouldn't forgo an ethical/'right' decision because 'it's all about the money.'I know a stand was taken only to be shot down by the USASF. It is a money driven industry. I won't go into details. Message me if you would like to hear lol
It's not fair to get on the message boards and plant the seed for everyone that the USASF failed and caved to money... and then not even explain or justify your accusation. :)
I don't think anything should be complicated for parents, gym owners, coaches and the athletes in this sport. There should be no guessing games on the rules and infractions as they occur. It is my understanding that all governing bodies have a (hopefully) clear set of bylaws for their members. When a group seeks non-profit status, their chosen tax structure determines how they can write these bylaws. From everything I have read allstars is a 501c 6. The IRS has a website to allow members to know of their structure and although tedious it will assist you as well as knowing your rights as written in your bylaws:
Internal Revenue Manual - 4.76.15 Business Leagues - IRC 501(c)(6)
ACEDAD, a couple of points I'd like to make.Despite my vocal protests over some decisions/acts by USASF, this is the thing that absolutely frosts my Christmas decorations the most.
I swear that this is the result of the continuing liberal onslought against capitalism in this country.
For a business to exist, it must provide a product or service that is wanted or needed in the community.
For a business to flourish, it must do its job well. If a business does its job well, it will make money. If a business makes money, it will expand and hire more people.
That is a good thing and jobs are NOT created by the government or by failing businesses.

1 You lost me at 'frosts my Christmas decorations.'
2. How are the liberals responsible for that post?
3. Who are you voting for in November?
Drkilluzionz Tell me what competitions you will be attending because it sounds like you will be fielding a h--- of a team and I'd love to watch them in person!! You couldn't be any more open and honest about what you are theoretically planning on doing and bringing on the officials, but I'm alittle unsure whether the red flag will go up and your dream team be called out for your stacking the team. In a perfect USASF world you would be, only in a perfected world...Drkilluzionz at least you are open and honest about your intentions to cheat. That should count for something right?
Please let me know what competitions you'll be attending so I can avoid those.

My job is running a pension consulting division for a large CPA firm.
But I find it a bit ironic that you claim nothing "should be complicated" and as an example, you link to an IRS item.
:D
This makes me sad, but at least you're up front about it. :D3. I will be voting Romney/Ryan in November. Though I don't agree with everything they do (including the stupid decision to not have exceptions for rape/mother's life in the abortion plank), I am much more in line with them than Mr Obama's last 4 years.
