At work, if I perform well during the year, I get a bonus. At cheerleading, If I'm a great coach, parents buy us gifts at the end of the year because they love us.

If your daughter does amazing and gets something she has been struggling to achieve, by ALL means please reward her. Now I am not saying that it is right in every single case. Nor should you yell at them to try to make them do something. But if you need to help me reach my full potential with monetary rewards, then so be it.

I agree. But my cp doesn't know when she will be rewarded, more fun for me that way. And I am definitely going to have to ask for forgiveness for last nights practice. My faceprint is on the glass. But they were in the corner and you have to get in a really weird position to see a quarter of the group and oh never mind, mea culpa. Please forgive me. :oops:

Maybe my reluctance to bribe my child with money or expensive gifts is, only in part, because I can't. $100 for a full? As I'm already spending that, plus some more, in privates each month, I don't see how my light bill not getting paid equates to Susie landing her full.

Can we take off the hot pink part? And just leave it at "I will not tell everyone my cp is going to make ..." Really. No need to EVER tell anyone what team your cp is going to make. Especially since if you're in the NACM club, you should not know or be speculating about what team your cp is going to make. :)

To me its all about rewarding hard work. Not saying "if you do xyz you will get something" but saying "because you did xyz you get something.
acknowledging success is what competition is all about.
However, sometimes people need a carrot to chase. Setting a goal and working for it is never a bad thing.
For $100 with a few cocktails I might even try a full.

Its not a bribe if it is offered up after the skill has been accomplished. Its all in the timing. I too have given rewards for getting a skill. It is something to celebrate. Nothing better than picking them up and having them say guess what I did. (note: I said pick up, Not sit through practice)

Megan texted me on Sunday right after she threw her 2 to full and I was at the mall to get her brother some shoes. That was cool
