I know ive seen some teams have it in the back of tumbling and stuff
But Wildcats did it as a full team the last year they were large coed i think
and the year before that, navarro did it at NCA college nationals.

College or All-Star?

now call me crazy(or wrong) but for some bizzare reason I wanna say jamie did these routines..I could be wrong I just feel like I saw somewhere that he did alphretta

the part where they are all bent down and then come up with one arm in a ripple reminds me of him because i'm pretty sure it was in ga sr 4 the year i competed with them in like 06.

and its the beginning of semi limiteds stunt sequence

Francis Howell Central I think!!

I used to do Francis Howell Central's music and this year (to cut costs) they had someone on their team make it. I heard that it was all to Allstar teams music...

Ohhh! Well that makes sense!!! I was so shocked when I heard that at state this year, it was insane.

Sometimes they dont honestly steal something that Another team has done they just make it different...the dip tic toc that extreme does was in another teams routine in like 07 they didnt steal of coure they Just made it better

georgia high school cheerleading is the worse, way to many teams coaches steal music from allstar teams, voiceovers and everything, but i feel this happens a lot more in high school.
These teams, did NOT do this, but this is just an example of the choreographer giving teams the same routine for the most part.
Alpharetta-
Northwestern Varsity-
Obviously a lot is the same, but if you watch the dance it's literally just the same.
Now as i understand the choreographer was the same person, and did this because he KNEW the teams would not be competeting against each other, but still I would feel weird thinking that some other team had the same routine we did, just slightly different.

To make things worse it was the same chorographer that gave them the music and stunt

We don't allow any type of video posting for this reason. Plus, when we have an upcoming competition, we search for teams that we are competing against to size them up or add difficulty to our routine to beat them.

We have had our bow-and-arrow pyramid stolen twice now. One of the teams that took the pryamid was in our division and we saw them twice...lets just say theirs didn't turn out so well. Then this year the same gym changed their entire stunt sequence to almost our exact sequence minus an extra tic-toc to try to beat us.

I think it's a form of flattery, but as many others have stated, don't take the exact same part or whole routine. Use the idea and make it your own.

Northwestern has used Jamie for a few years now. I absolutely loved last years routine. This year...not so much. Can't wait to see them compete this year! "Once a Trojan, Always a Trojan"

I could never steal another teams exact choreography!! As a choreographer, (see my ad for music/choreography services in the advertising section of the boards :D), I would find it horrible for my business if I went around using whole chunks of routines or music and charging people for it!Not only is it not fair to the teams, but its also not making me a better choreographer to play it safe and do the same things others are doing!
I think originality is best and blame coaches and choreographers for not reading and really understanding rules as well as they should! I have met many coaches of teams who are not sure of rules or what can be done within the rules for their level! To me, thats just as bad as not knowing anything about the company and division you work for at your 9-5...unacceptable!
There seems to be a general perception that you have to "stay in the box" until someone else does something creative and then everyone starts competing with those ideas or similar ideas because it has been deemed ok for their division and they like the way it looks. I would like to see more creativity from coaches and choreographers pushing the envelope!! I also think creativity should have a higher point value at competitions.
I think those that really study the rules and strive to understand them are truly exercising their creativity. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I think of a cute new stunt/pyramid, jump sequence, or way to get girls from one place to another. Many choreographers are scared to try new things because they do not want something to be illegal...however, I am constantly sending outlandish stunt/tumbling/transition emails to friends and my cheer mentors that are judges to double check if things are indeed legal...lol

a high school team from Canada, I would say 2 years ago, used basically the whole Fashionista dance. I remember I wasn't looking at the floor, and I heard the song start playing and looked over just in time to see the part where the girls go under the legs and the ding and all that business, from then on it was exactly the same. to anyone else, it was just a creative dance, as I would say 98% of high school cheerleaders here could not tell you who Shooting Stars were if they were in the World Cup gym, but I was kinda taken back

Just a tidbit....if you hire a choreographer and he/she happens to give identical routines to 2 different teams...it isn't stealing. I wonder if people actually read the contracts before the hire a choreographer? We all strive for unique ideas, but a choreographer who is slam packed with clients throughout the year has to get "creators" block sometimes. I choreograph routines, but not nearly as much as some of the top people. I am not saying it is right, but mistakes do happen. I had a routine choreographed for me, and I saw a team with similar choreography. I asked my choreographer if he could come in and make the changes, and he didn't hesitate free of charge.
