y'all have to remember too... CEA and World Cup both traveled to Vegas for American Grand and didn't get rewarded either for killing their routines... its not just NCA that has built up to this the past few years.

Look, I'm just trying to see where she's coming from instead of jumping on the defensive.Well if shes as smart as some on here say, then I'm sure she knows she could have worded that differently IF her intention was just to complain about the ep NCA.
And your and the CEA moderator on here sum up CEA pretty well, its all about senior elite! pretty sure there are other teams from cea that have gone and won almost yearly! SE doesnt win so now nobody goes?? and BTW as you point out they have won worlds ? yes with a drop once and a traveling "non bobble" stunt once Also for the lg sr division, worlds is a one day comp. if you would have had prelim scoring count... worlds may look quite different.
I know that. It was just an example about how she may be thinking about the situation.Worlds is a different score sheet therefore comparing that they won 3x vs none at NCA is not a fair assesment to think any team should be able to come out on top at any given competition. Also routines evolve from competition to competition.
In my experience, just because u HIT does not mean an automatic win. Anyone can HIT with poor execution or timing issues. SE added double ups - however they were poorly timed and poorly executed compared to competitiors. Hands down Panthers execution and timing was the best and they had just as difficult of a routine as all the large sr. So with all skills equal - execution and timing wins out.
Panthers had the higher raw. 97.95 vs 97.80Look, I'm just trying to see where she's coming from instead of jumping on the defensive.
Talking about SE's history at NCA was just an example. I said earlier on this thread that other CEA teams, particularly her youths and juniors, have historically done very well there.
Honestly, if she doesn't want to take her teams to NCA she shouldn't have to! She's a consumer, and if she doesn't like the competition, for whatever reason, then it's her choice not to travel to the other side of the country for that comp.
I know that. It was just an example about how she may be thinking about the situation.
I do disagree that it was SE's execution that lost them the title – IMO it was the deduction for too long a routine. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't SE have the highest raw score on day 2?
Fair enough, I had a feeling I wasn't right.Panthers had the higher raw. 97.95 vs 97.80![]()

Still, I do blame the legality deduction.
im wondering if this is for all cheer extreme locations though. has anyone been able to figure that out.? i mean SSX has done fairly well at NCA and other competitions over the years. im 50/50 on the whole thing i can understand if you dont feel like your getting your money worth then why go back, but and im putting this lightly, its unfortunate to "punish" the other teams who have done well at these comps like ssx and Coed elite, because of one team and their results.
Can we define Elite? Honestly I have seen some L5 teams that could be really good L4 teams traveling all over the country but that does not make them elite on my book. No, I am not suggesting that an Elite athlete must go to all of them, but there are some that are considered more desirable than others, and as a Non- World athlete, NCA is at the top of the food chain... Furthermore, I still do not see how to get around from overnight stays in hotels, particularly, if the 2 day competition is 10 or more driving hours away... Will these elite athletes be camping out in their cars or will they be driving home and driving back 10 hours the following morning?
I can't comment on her timing because I haven't spoken to her about it. I can only comment about the cost conversation I did have. I've been saying for 4/5 years here that if varsity wants to grow the sport of cheerleading they'll do everything the can NOT to price out your average families. Nobody there listened though, because they don't care. And costs are only going up. Y'all can think wha you want but I spoke truthfully from the heart. (Shrug)
Connections allowed people to use rewards points for their hotel stay. If I recall it required that you do some paperwork identifying specifics but it could be accomplished.Addition to this, we had some members on the team with rewards or discounted rates on hotels (I may not be saying this right), but these people were forced to booked through Connection Housing and not use their rewards or discounted rates on their rooms or risk disqualifications for their gym...What kind of insanity is this?
PS: This FELT no different from me being accosted in a dark alleyway, it surely did not feel like HOSPITALITY at all!!!

My understanding has always been the locations with the white program uniforms for lower teams are Kelly's and the locations with black program uniforms for lower teams are Courtney's and while i'm sure they discuss their schedules, they're generally independent of each other in terms of deciding where to compete. Are we sure that this is all CEA teams, or just K-Ville? I was under the impression that Kelly and co. ran a fairly self-sufficient gym at Raleigh, and they might still choose to go to NCA.
Just a thought.
